Frequently Asked Questions
Where is my data stored?
All your scanned documents are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, data is additionally stored in your personal iCloud private database, which only you can access. The developer cannot see or access your data under any circumstances.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. Data stored on your device is protected by iOS's built-in data protection. If you use iCloud sync, your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest by Apple. Additionally, PocketID supports Face ID / Touch ID to prevent unauthorized access to the App.
How do I enable or disable iCloud sync?
Go to your device's Settings → Apple ID → iCloud and toggle PocketID on or off. When disabled, your data remains only on the current device.
I accidentally deleted a document. Can I recover it?
Since all data is stored locally (and optionally in your private iCloud), the developer has no access to your documents and cannot recover deleted data. We recommend keeping important original documents as backup.
How do I manage my subscription?
You can view, modify, or cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
How do I request a refund?
All purchases are processed through Apple. To request a refund, visit
reportaproblem.apple.com and follow Apple's instructions.
The App is not working properly. What should I do?
Try the following steps: (1) Make sure you're running the latest version of PocketID from the App Store. (2) Restart the App. (3) Restart your device. (4) If the issue persists, contact us using the information below.
